About Me

I grew up in a small farming town in Oregon and have always focused on innovation. I founded my first company at 15 when my friend and I built a video game.

Education

I attended the University of Oregon — Go Ducks! – and earned bachelor’s degrees in journalism and communications and philosophy. I recently completed Google’s UX for Designer certificate.

Work

I have worked across the communications industry — newspaper, radio, magazine, books, digital and television.  For the last nine years, I have owned a digital communications agency. I focus on UX design, SEO, website development and content. My focus is on the user and providing the necessary path to building a successful business.

My Vision

In today’s digital world, communication is challenging. There is so much noise. I help clients understand their position in the market and implement a strategy to inform and convert customers. The process starts with listening. I sit down with my clients and understand their businesses. I talk to current customers. After research, we discuss the best ways to reach an audience.

Define

A project starts with understanding the problem. That means listening, researching and setting goals.

Plan

Once the problem has been defined, a way to solve the problem is required.

Execute

The plan must be broken down into parts and executed. Each step is tracked.

Evaluate

Once the project has been completed, the results must be measured. Comprehensive metrics are required.
